Before you install
I'm on Windows 10 — can I use the desktop app?
Sorry, no — it only works on Windows 11. Windows 10 doesn't have the audio feature the app relies on, so there's no way around it. The extension works on any computer though, and it covers every course that plays in your browser.
Do I have to choose? Can I use both?
Use both — plenty of people do. They share one account and the same hours, so nothing is wasted either way. Most people use the extension for online courses and open the app when they're watching something they downloaded.
Is a Mac version coming?
Not soon, and we'd rather not promise a date we can't keep — making it work on a Mac means starting over, not just adapting what we already have. In the meantime the extension works on Mac and covers everything in your browser.
How does the app update itself?
By itself, in the background — you don't have to do anything. Updates are small and quick. If you'd rather check for one yourself, there's a button in Settings.
