These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of DubTab (the "Service"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
DubTab is a browser extension that translates spoken audio in real time, shows translated subtitles, and may generate AI voice audio for the translated speech.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally allowed to use the Service in your jurisdiction and be old enough to enter into these Terms.
3. Your content, rights, and consent
You are responsible for the content you use with the Service (including videos, calls, livestreams, and recordings).
You agree to use the Service only with content you have the right to access and process, and where required, you have obtained permission from the relevant people (for example, speakers in a call).
The Service must not be used to violate any law, platform policy, copyright, privacy, or other rights.
4. AI output and accuracy
The Service uses automated systems. Translations, subtitles, and AI voice output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading due to factors like audio quality, accents, background noise, and domain-specific terminology.
You are responsible for verifying important information. The Service is not intended for emergency use or safety-critical decisions.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for illegal activities;
- infringe intellectual property rights or privacy rights;
- attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass technical limitations or usage limits;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service (including abuse, spam, malware, or excessive automated requests).
Access to the Service may be suspended or restricted if misuse is detected.
6. Plans, usage limits, and billing
Some features require a paid plan. Plans may include usage quotas (such as minutes, hours, or characters). If a plan includes periodic quotas, they reset each billing cycle unless the Service clearly states otherwise.
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until cancellation.
Refunds: All sales are non-refundable except where required by law.
7. Third-party services
The Service may rely on third-party services (for example: speech recognition, translation, text-to-speech, payments, and analytics). Availability and performance of the Service may be affected by these third parties.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and related materials, is protected by intellectual property laws.
A limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license is granted to use the Service for its intended purpose. The Service may not be copied, resold, or made available to others except as expressly permitted.
9. Privacy
Use of the Service is also subject to the Privacy Policy: Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties are disclaimed, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
No warranty is made that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that output will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount paid for the Service in the last 3 months (or US$10 if no amounts were paid), whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits may not apply to you.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
Access may be suspended or terminated if these Terms are violated, if required by law, or to protect the security and integrity of the Service.
13. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be posted within the Service or on the website. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
